“This historic Tudor building immediately impresses with its beautiful approach and ample parking, setting a tone of old-world character that carries through to the rooms, many of which boast impressive spaces and thoughtful decor, though heating can occasionally be temperamental. I found the staff consistently attentive, managing to resolve any minor issues, like a lukewarm shower, with notable efficiency, and the roaring fires in the bar create a wonderfully inviting atmosphere for enjoying well-prepared food and a good selection of drinks. It's a place that clearly values its heritage, and I felt the care put into maintaining its original features while updating the amenities added a genuine warmth to my stay.”
